Greetings from Amsterdam!

Hope everyone has a happy Easter, and Karyn has a happy birthday!

Got back at midnight last night from seeing Aunt Celine and Uncle Stanley in Amsterdam, such a treat. We packed in a lot of visiting along the canals--just sitting on a bench, watching boats go by; over latte near the Anne Frank House; and at lunch when we got one of the few tables under a sun umbrella.

The day was GORGEOUS, and before we knew it, it was time for Aunt Celine and Uncle Stan to catch their bus, which would take them to their boat for their week-long river cruise through the Netherlands and Belgium.

After waving them good-bye, I walked around the flower market, bought some tulip bulbs in ceramic Dutch clogs, and happened to come across the hotel I think Steve and I stayed in the first (and only other time) I was in Amsterdam (bottom photo).

Maybe this summer I'll come up with the boys. It was only 4 1/2 hours with the fast train, and the hop-on, hop-off canal boat ride would be fun to do with them.
