Michael Visits Omi & Opi in the "Niederrhein"

Drove to Wegberg this morning to bring Michael to Omi and Opi for his last week of fall break. We thought we had downloaded the film "Marmaduke" for the 2 1/2 hour drive, but unfortunately we must not have confirmed the download. So we used the driving time to brainstorm how he'd like to celebrate his birthday in December--slumber party with disco, scavenger hunt with clues in envelopes, pizza for dinner, rolls and eggs for breakfast.

Omi prepared a lovely lunch of wild boar; a friend of theirs is a hunter. When I drove off two hours later, I thought they looked so sweet all waving good-bye that I had to stop the car and take a photo!
