My birthday in the US was extra special when it fell on Thanksgiving. Here it is special when it falls on the first Sunday of advent. This morning we got to enjoy the first candle lit on our advent wreath, compliments of Mom, and of course every Sunday we enjoy our soft-boiled eggs, fresh rolls, and croissants before church.
I didn't feel I had time for a big birthday celebration this year--I STILL have to prepare a class and have papers to mark for tomorrow--but Susan and Dorothee did stop by with well wishes and we enjoyed cake baked by Nina, Lukas, and Michael:)
