Parking Woes at the Eppstein Train Station

In my little spare time--feels more like stolen time rather than spare time--I wrote up a blog about the horrible parking situation right now in Eppstein.

Because they limited all the spots at the train station itself to four hours, I either have to leave at 6:40 a.m. in order to get a legal parking spot near the train station or I have to drive 60 km, even though I have a monthly train pass. It is so frustrating. If you want to see my blog with a photo of the parking lot's empty spots now that they are limited to four hours and the dark spot where I have to park IF I manage to get one of the legal spots past the train bridge: http://eppstein-bahnhof.blogspot.com/

I already got a ticket when I was running late and thought parking in one of the 70 free spots would hurt no one since they were designed as P+R (Park + Ride) spots for people who go to work by train. If I had more time, I'd write the train company; obviously people who otherwise would take the train are going to go by car because of this ridiculous new rule because the city doesn't want "overcrowding."

I say, first come first serve. Don't punish the tax-paying working citizens who want to keep traffic and pollution to a minimum by forcing them to drive.
