Weekend

Next week two of my classes will be taking finals--one will be an essay exam, which was pretty easy to create (marking 60 essays will not be so much fun), but the other is a grammar & translation exam, and I am wrestling with how to make it fair and yet not too time-consuming for me to grade!

So that's what I've been struggling with, along with helping out with our department musical last night, supporting Michael's preparation for his math test next week, cleaning the house for visitors, baking for Celine's one-year birthday. I should also mark some papers and start preparing Tuesday's class. Never a moment of boredom. I have been snatching bits of time to read John Adams by McCullough though.

Now though I should get ready for church. Our new priest is from Africa (reverse missionizing now), and because Michael hasn't met him and will be a "Kommunionkind" this May, he himself said he'd like to go this morning, even though it means I have to pick him up from his overnight early!
