Michael is 3 for 3 in terms of weekends with birthday party invites. But we couldn't find the sports bottle with soccer motif which was on the latest birthday boy's wish list. Remembering how some German boys had such creative ways to give Patrick cash gifts a few birthdays back, we looked on the internet to find some fun way to fold a bill--a shirt? duck? fish? Michael ended up choosing the skier! 
This was the beginning of a very crafts oriented weekend. We now have a Chinese lantern hanging in our living room, a cork bracelet on the display shelf, a plane made out of paper money, and a candle that says "Mike" on the side.
